MarinHealth to Open its First Urgent Care Clinic

New San Rafael Location to Offer County Residents a New Venue

for Non-Emergent Medical Treatment

GREENBRAE, CA, February 17, 2021MarinHealth announced today that on March 9, 2021 the enterprise will open its first Urgent Care Clinic.

MarinHealth Urgent Care | A UCSF Health Clinic, located at 4000 Civic Center Drive Suite 206 in San Rafael, will feature a dedicated entrance and waiting room and will share space with MarinHealth’s Outpatient Imaging Center (for X-rays).

Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday 10 am – 8 pm and Saturday and Sunday 9 am – 5 pm Pacific Time. The clinic will be staffed by MarinHealth trained clinicians.

A Place for Urgent, Non-Emergent Treatment

Services at the clinic will include medical care for illnesses or injuries that require prompt attention but typically are not serious enough to require the services of an emergency department. As part of MarinHealth’s complete care model, the new facility will provide adult and pediatric patients access to a full spectrum of high-quality primary, specialty, and urgent care.

Patients of all ages will be able to visit MarinHealth Urgent Care for many reasons, including treatment for upper respiratory infections, colds and flu (including the flu vaccine), asthma, allergies, minor lacerations, sore throats, insect bites and rashes, among other conditions. On-site doctors can diagnose and treat a broad array of conditions, including pink eye, croup, and minor orthopedic injuries. Rapid testing for flu, strep throat, mononucleosis, UTIs and other conditions are also among available services.

MarinHealth and UCSF Health have a long history of collaborating to provide exceptional primary and specialty care to residents of the North Bay through their network of clinics and at MarinHealth Medical Center. The clinics deliver a wide range of care, from pediatrics and OB/GYN to rheumatology, cardiology and urology.

As part of the collaboration, urgent care patients will have access to MyChart, UCSF Health’s secure online patient portal, where they can easily view medical information and communicate with providers.
