Suicide Prevention Collaborative Data Action Team Presentation: How Suicide Has Impacted Marin

March 2, 2022
2:00 PM PT - 3:00 PM PT

This next monthly meeting of the Marin Suicide Prevention Collaborative (MSPC) is an annual data presentation by MSPC's Data Action Team that will explain how suicide has impacted our community over the past year. MSPC includes loss survivors, attempt survivors, allies, providers, advocates and other community members focused on creating a safe community for distressed individuals.

During the meeting, which is open to public, you will learn more about MSPC's work and what kind of role you can play if you're interested. To register for the March 2nd meeting visit https://prevention.marinbhrs.org/suicide-prevention OR https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZEucO-qpz0sHNfdpeg8ROZxyS8BKbY4z4N_ .

There is a state-wide suicide data source from the California's Mental Health Services & Oversight Commission (MHSOC). MHSOC's "Suicide Incidence and Rate Dashboard" includes data from 2010 to 2019 which can be viewed by county and filtered by age, gender, race and injury causes. MHSOC's site also has a description of the state-wide strategic plan of its Suicide Prevention Initiative.
