MarinHealth reaches tentative agreement with the California Nurses Association

MarinHealth is pleased to announce that it has reached a tentative agreement with the California Nurses Association (CNA), and the planned one-day strike by the registered nurses at MarinHealth Medical Center, slated for Tuesday, March 28, has been called off.

Negotiations with the CNA lasted late into the night of March 21st, primarily centered on economic issues. While specifics cannot be addressed, both parties have agreed to a fair and equitable wage and benefits package that represents a shared desire to attract and retain qualified nurses. This will go to a vote next week and is expected to be ratified.

“This agreement is fair and addresses the needs of both parties,” said David Klein, MD, Chief Executive Officer of MarinHealth. “We are pleased to reach a settlement without any disruption in service. I would again like to express my sincere appreciation to our dedicated nurses for their tremendous work on behalf of MarinHealth and our patient community.”
