Happy Holidays from the Marin Coalition
Happy Holidays! This is our year-end message, to thank you for your support and participation during the past year. We’re on hiatus this month and will resume presentations in January.
Based on your input, we will remain on a virtual platform for the time being and will continue to reevaluate when to resume in-person luncheon meetings. If you have any thoughts respecting when and how to resume our McInnis events, do drop us a line. Meanwhile, we are busy planning our line-up of events for 2022 and will send out announcements once the schedule is finalized.
Looking back over the past 18 months of Zoom events, we can objectively say that, despite everything, we’ve had a fantastic year and a half! Notwithstanding the impediments brought about by Covid, MC held forth with regular programs presented online free to the public and offered a stellar selection of speakers on a wide array of subjects. Highlights included:
- Rep. Jared Huffman
- Rob Devincenzi & Bill Nagel, Publishers of the Marin IJ and San Francisco Chronicle
- Noah Griffin
- Bruce Goines & Mark Brown, leaders of the Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority
- Dr. Matt Willis, Marin Health and Human Services Public Health Officer
- Ben Horenstein, GM of Marin Water & Ryan Grisso - North Marin Water Dist.
- Dr. Jeff Boehm, DVM (CEO, The Marine Mammal Center), JD Bergeron (Executive Director, International Bird Rescue) and Ellyn Weisel (Executive Director, WildCare)
- Dick Spotswood (Marin IJ columnist) & Greg Brockbank (Marin political guru)
. . . and many others. We look forward to many more great programs in the year ahead!
In case you missed any events, all our programs are recorded and available for viewing on our archives: https://marincoalition.org/archives/.
Lastly, here at the close of the year we ask that you consider helping to keep our all-volunteer organization going by either becoming a member or making a small, tax-deductible donation if you have not previously done so. MC depends on audience support to meet our basic operating expenses (website, insurance, audio and camera and sound equipment, etc.).

We thank you for your interest and support. Happy holidays and see you in 2022!
