Suicide Prevention Collaborative's Skill Training for a Safe Community

Marin County's Suicide Prevention Collaborative is beginning 2022 with a virtual training session for mental health providers, case workers, health care professionals, caregivers and family members to build skills that will help to reduce suicide risk and improve coping for individuals in distress.

Presenters are Vanessa Blum, PhD, Clinical Psychologist and Kara Connors, MPH, Senior Program Coordinator for Suicide Prevention of Marin County's Behavioral Health and Recovery Services.

During the session attendees will receive handouts, learn a 6-step safety planning framework, engage in group discussions and review resources. All participants will receive a Circle of Caring card to acknowledge their training of a role to build a safe community.
