Fleishhacker Foundation Accepting Applications for Special Arts Fund
1016 Lincoln Blvd. #12
San Francisco, California 94129
The Fleishhacker Foundation is accepting applications to its Special Projects program from larger mid-sized Bay Area arts and culture organizations.
Through the program, grants of up to $25,000 will be awarded in support of special artistic projects or initiatives, artistic collaborations or commissions involving local artists, and/or upgrades to facilities that benefit artists and audiences (when not part of a large capital campaign).
Special Arts Grants are awarded based on their potential impact on the applicant organization, arts discipline, and local community. Arts organizations with annual budgets between $750,000 and $2.5 million will be considered if their project is timely and (due to its scope) requires special grant funding. Film projects with budgets between $750,000 and $2.5 million also will be considered, if applying with an eligible fiscal sponsor.
To be eligible, applicants must be an arts and cultural organization incorporated as a nonprofit and located in the greater San Francisco Bay Area; be able to demonstrate a consistent artistic presence in the Bay Area for at least three years; have an annual budget between $750,000 and $2.5 million; and/or be a film project with a budget between $750,000 and $2.5 million and have the fiscal sponsorship of a nonprofit organization. Capital campaigns, endowment campaigns, and fundraising events are not eligible.
Only Bay Area residents and organizations will be considered.
For complete program guidelines, information about previous grant recipients, and application procedures, see the Fleishhacker Foundation website.
