Marin Board of Supervisors Hearing on the 2016 Proposed Pesticide Products Allowed List

Marin County Civic Center
3501 Civic Center Dr, Suite 329
San Rafael, California
March 1, 2016
10:00 AM PT - 12:00 PM PT

On Tues, March 1, the Supervisors will vote on the list of approved pesticides that can be used by the county in 2016 (as recommended by the IPM Commission). Of particular note is that glyphosate (Roundup), A PROBABLE HUMAN CARCINOGEN, remains on the Exemptions List (which means only that a bit of paperwork is required before its use).

Please check the County Web Site for the exact time of the BOS hearing:

If we want the county to stop using glyphosate (or better yet ALL herbicides), we need to show up in big numbers to urge them to stop. If you don't voice your opposition, how will they know it matters to you?

In addition, please send letters to the Supervisors. We need them from individuals and organizations:

ksears@marincounty.org
krice@marincounty.org
dconnolly@marincounty.org
skinsey@marincounty.org
jarnold@marincounty.org

If you want more info on what's happening, specific issues to address at the meeting, or a letter to sign onto if you don't have time to write your own, please contact barbogard@gmail.com.
