Tell Jared Huffman to bring federal funding to save the Golden Gate Village apartments

Write your congressman now!

Dear Activist Friends,

We need Congressman Jared Huffman to step up to the plate and author some "pork barrel" legislation to fund the $16 million needed for county-deferred maintenance on the Golden Gate Village public housing project so that 700 of Marin’s poorest residents are not forced to relocate through the latest iteration of a county-pushed Transit Oriented Development scheme. Here’s how pork barrel legislation works---it’s about 1 percent of the federal budget.

And the total for 2014 was about 2.7 billion---

Surely some of Marin City’s very poor---living in dramatically sited, historic buildings designed 55 years ago by Aaron Green, a protégé of Frank Lloyd Wright, deserve their relatively small $16 million share of U.S. pork munificence.

Huffman could get it done if he had the political will. Please help support this worthy cause by emailing Jared:
