This Forbes article is particularly interesting because it is addressed to the public sector workers.
This is something CSPP has attempted to stress, i.e. that if something isn't done to stabilize public pensions, that ship will sink. We have been met with either expressions of disbelief or outright ridicule.
The sad fact is that if the government ship sinks, all aboard risk drowning. Illinois and New Jersey are nearing that point.
Taxpayers are fleeing states where tax increases are the norm in order to shore up pension funds. Businesses are relocating to more friendly states.
It's unwise to think "it can't happen here", because it already is.
