The Temple University study purportedly touting the benefits of extra virgin olive oil in fact only alleges that olive oil helps protect against dementia. In any case, "extra virgin" is simply a marketing tool that permits purveyors of olive oil to say that their product is of high quality, in their opinion. It does NOT describe a method of producing olive oil.
