As you know, CSPP has long been beating the drum that the unfunded pension crisis is leading to increases in taxes, rates and fees, and to service insolvency.
Until now, however, there was no currently active, vital taxpayer watchdog group in Marin County to research all new taxes and provide critical information to the citizens of Marin County. Not all proposed tax measures are directly linked to pension debt but – in recent years – most are.
With our encouragement and strong support, Mimi Willard stepped up to lead a new taxpayer watchdog group, which is called the Coalition of Sensible Taxpayers (CO$T).
A flyer to their debut event scheduled for February 15, 2017 is found at this Notice link:

Joe Nation will be the keynote speaker and will outline the direct link to most new and increased taxes and pension debt. I hope you are able to attend to meet the members of CO$T and to offer your support as you have so generously done for CSPP over the past almost six years.
CSPP is now able to focus fully on the pension issue, including the upcoming California Supreme Court hearing and its aftermath, without the need to worry about each new town, county and state tax proposal.
That “job” will be expertly covered by Marin’s new tax watchdog group, the Coalition of Sensible Taxpayers!
Regards,
Jody
