Although it is generally agreed that housing affordability is a major challenge for Californians of all ages, is this a problem that can be solved by charging head-long into more and more ill-conceived housing legislation or is this a symptom of a more significant underlying dynamic that we are failing to recognize. The presentation will take a holistic look at the history, economics, and policies that drive our affordability problems and offer a glimpse of what we might do to better address them.

Please join us for what we know will be a fascinating conversation. As always, there will be a Q&A period following the presentation.

In his 50-year career, Bob has been involved in architecture, design, construction, city planning, real estate development, media, and finance. His companies developed and designed almost 2,000 units of Section 8 affordable housing using low-income housing tax credit financing and have been investment advisors to a variety of private, corporate, and institutional clients. Bob is a licensed architect and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Cooper Union School of Architecture.

The Internet "cloud" application allowed anyone in the world needing something to be matched instantly with anyone wanting to give something away for charitable purposes. doGoodr technology was acquired by CVP in April of 2015.

CVP is currently developing “Generative AI” planning software tools to enhance community participation in local planning decisions.
