WHO will be there
1) Fairfax families, residents and West Marin Little League (WMLL) players concerned about homeless camping in Contratti Baseball Field and Peri Park.

WHAT we are doing
This is a Community event in support of three city council candidates that are committed to park safety and passing an ordinance similar to San Rafael ordinance 2040 to end camping in recreation areas specifically Central baseball field (Contratti Park) 4 School St plaza, Fairfax, CA 94930 and Peri Park
Fairfax voters, residents and WMLL players will gather to express to the current city council that the status quo is not working. We have made requests for over three years to this council and the situation with homeless individuals interfering with children's recreation has gone too far.
WHEN/WHERE
Wednesday October 23rd 4:30 – 5:30Pm on the Parkade steps at the corner of Bolinas and Broadway.
WHY
In support of new town council candidates who will help adopt an ordinance to close Peri park and central baseball field play area to camping and return it to kids for baseball practice and games.
The proposed Fairfax ordinance will be based on the San Rafael legal ordinance enacted in October 2024
INVITATION
Join us as we call for a change in policy and leadership and to restore safety to our public spaces. Possible interviews with residents, statements from the town council candidates, and footage of the nearby park conditions will be available.
