Downtown San Rafael Summer Farmers Market Returns June 1st, 2023

The Agricultural Institute of Marin (AIM), a Bay Area agricultural non-profit organization, is delighted to declare the return of the much-anticipated San Rafael Summer Farmers Market on Thursday, June 1st, 2023. A beloved tradition, the market will be open from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm on Fourth Street, nestled between Lootens Place and A Street.

Celebrating the rich diversity of local produce and crafts, this year's market showcases both new and returning vendors. Confirmed market participants include: Mossed Juicery, Wise-Jun Kombucha, Rodriguez Brothers Ranch, Gotelli Farms, Here And There, Beffa Springs Ranch, BABS Catering, Pibil, Uhuru Foods & Pies, Forest & Flour, Ponce Farms, Gigi’s One Bite Wonder, Waldscraft Artisan Bakery, Solorios Organic Farm, Sweetly Cali, Kendric Vineyards, Esteban’s Rooster Corn, The Frenchy Gourmet, Epidemic Ales, Kettle Pop, and a variety of local artisans including Refunct Jewelry, Modern Shibori, Alysia Kezerian, Herbal Alchemist, Pieces Mosaic Studio, Jungle Maiden, The Weekend Store, Alix Clo, and Accessories By Audrey.

Embrace the summer season with an abundance of farm-to-table produce, specialty juices, gourmet baked goods, handmade crafts, and more. The market caters to all culinary cravings, from authentic Yucatan cuisine, Mexican-style local roasted corn, to artisanal sandwiches using fresh ingredients. Whether you prefer dining alfresco or taking home artisanal delicacies, the San Rafael Summer Market promises a gastronomic adventure.

The market goes beyond food, offering a weekly musician series, with the Libation Taproom and Bottle Shop hosting a beverage garden featuring a curated selection of craft beers. This year's Summer Market intends to foster a vibrant community spirit, supporting local businesses and downtown merchants while providing an enjoyable and engaging venue for locals and visitors alike.

In line with AIM's commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, the San Rafael Summer Market accepts EBT/CalFresh and offers up to $10 in Market Match per day for fresh fruits and vegetables. AIM has also offered Racial Equity Fund, extending financial support to three BIPOC Farmers, Food Producers, and Artisans who are new to the farmers market scene. AIM is grateful to the City of San Rafael, Poppy Bank, and Salon B Hair Salon for their market sponsorship.

The San Rafael Summer Market officially kicks off with a ceremonial ribbon cutting at 5:30 pm near the Court Street Plaza on opening day. Join AIM, the City of San Rafael, the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce, and the Business Improvement District as we bring back this cherished tradition, celebrating the rich tapestry of our local community.
