Understanding the State’s Housing Element Requirement and its Impacts on Marin Cities and Towns

Zoom Webinar (online, free)
November 16, 2022
12:00 PM PT - 1:30 PM PT

Marin County, and its cities and towns, are required to develop and implement a Housing Element to be implemented in the next 8 years to meet goals mandated by the State. In November, Marin Coalition will host the Planning Directors of Corte Madera, Mill Valley, and San Rafael to share the status of each of their housing plans, the approach used in developing each plan, and major challenges faced in implementing a State-approved plan. They will discuss how environmental Impacts (drought, wildfire, and sea-level rise) and concerns about the impacts of additional housing on the character of our communities play into these considerations.

As usual, the event will include a question-and-answer period. Attendees should expect an informative and lively discussion.

This event will be presented in a ZOOM webinar format and is free of charge.

Cost: Our webinars are free to all attendees, but if you would like to support our programs, please go to the Donate page to help defray our costs. Thank you.
