Seeds belong to the people, not corporations

A handful of corporations, including Monsanto, now own 60 percent of all the world’s seeds which they are rapidly patenting and controlling. Imagine if all the water in the world was owned by three corporations – well, that’s exactly what’s happening with our food supply. But with your help, we’re taking back control of the world’s seed diversity.

The Center for Food Safety is launching the first-ever free online network for sharing seeds, connecting millions of people around the world who are saving the diversity of our seeds. The ultimate goal is to create a diverse, independent seed supply, bypass corporations, and empower farmers and home gardeners.

As we prepare to launch this free innovative online seed sharing site, we need your help to get it off the ground. Will you donate now to become a seed funder of our new seed network?

Here’s a quick peek at what we’re building:

With your help, CFS will soon be launching this online seed network which will unite a diverse network of seed savers from around the world. The site also includes detailed instructions on how to save seed, announcements about local seed sharing events, a school curriculum, and online community forum to exchange ideas.

The site will be the “Airbnb meets Match.com” of the independent seed saving movement, allowing users to search for seeds based on climate, variety, location, or specific traits.

Help us launch this peer-to-peer seed sharing website now.

As we continue to fight for the safety and diversity of our seed supply, we’re turning to our grassroots supporters like you to lead the way.

We’re excited to launch this groundbreaking network very soon, and with your help, we’ll make a truly global effort for sharing seeds a reality.
