Marin Coalition News! New Schedule, New Location, and Reduced Fees!

The Marin Coalition is pleased to make two important announcements.

First, we have finalized our September and October programs!

On September 12, we will again host Marin Independent Journal’s political columnist Dick Spotswood and long-time Marin political pundit Greg Brockbank to provide insights on local, State and Federal candidates in the November general elections.

On October 10, we will host Mimi Willard, Founder and President of the Coalition of Sensible Taxpayers (CO$T), who will discuss the many tax and bond measures on that same ballot. Save the dates!

Second, after much thought the MC Board has decided to try something new: We will be holding these future events at a new location and different time. Beginning with our September 12 election preview program, we will meet in the later afternoon at Dominican University in San Rafael.

This change, which comes in response to many of your suggestions, will allow us to reduce our ticket prices, significantly – from $38 to $18 – by eliminating the full-lunch protocol and replacing it with coffee, tea and light refreshments.

In addition, by changing to a 3:30 pm starting time, we hope many more people can manage to work our programs into their busy schedules.

We are excited to start this new chapter with Dominican, which is centrally located in San Rafael and has a very welcoming facility (the Creekside Room – see location map) for our gatherings. Please look for our future announcements of the September program, which will give full details and the ability to register.

We hope to see you then!
