Marin Post Polling Results - March 3rd Ballot Measures
The “Marin Ballot Measure Opinion Poll” had approximately 1,500 unique hits and was taken by 248 people. Though this is a small statistical sampling, the results showed negative sentiment on increasing taxes. This represents the continuation of a phenomenon called “tax exhaustion,” on the part of the general public.

There were a range of responses. Measure I, the SMART Train tax extension, showed the most negative response, whereas, Measure C, the Marin Wildfire Prevention tax is a much closer race, though the outcome was still negative. The only non-tax issue polled, Measure D, the San Geronimo Golf Course decision, is running neck and neck. Measure I, for the SMART train tax, had the most decisive negative results.
