The results showed that three of the proposals stood out from the rest as "Highest Priority." In order to the highest priority, these included 1) "Add local shuttle services," (2) "Add more bus routes," and (3) "Promote working from home."

68% of all respondents said that adding "local shuttle services" was either the highest or a high priority to improve local transportation. 63% said that promoting "working from home" was the highest of a high priority, and 53% said that adding "more bus routes" should be a very high priority to improve local transportation.

"Add more ferries" (57%), "Add more school buses" (53%), "Promote car sharing" (49%) and "Promote ride sharing" (44%) were also indicated to be priorities for our readers.

None of the other proposals rated higher than as an "Average Priority."

Among the lowest priorities for our readers were "Restrict car access" (only 5% considered it a high or highest priority), "Charge freeway tolls (13%), "Add HOV lanes" (13%), and "Increase speed limits" (17%),

Somewhat surprisingly, "Add more bike lanes / paths" came in as being a fairly low priority (61% rated it either as a low or the lowest priority, and only 12% considered it the highest priority).
