Gov. Brown should veto bill perpetuating secrecy of public employee contract negotiations

Senate Bill 31 is headed to Gov. Brown's desk for approval. We are asking Gov. Brown to make every effort to promote complete transparency in collective bargaining in California, in order to assure that we, the taxpayers, who pay the bills, are completely informed and included in the process.

CSPP is urging that Senate Bill 331 be vetoed because it is another attempt to avoid transparency in government decision making. Please send your comments to:

Here is our suggested comment:

Dear Governor Brown:

We expect you, as our elected Governor, to make every effort to promote complete transparency in collective bargaining in order to assure that we - the taxpayers who pay the bills - are completely informed and included in the process. To that end, we request that you veto Senate Bill 331, which is nothing more than another attempt to kill transparency.
