John Palmer has lived in Mill Valley for over 50 years, and has taken an active role in its civic and cultural life. He is President of Montgomery Partners, a real estate investment firm he founded in 1984, President of the Scott Valley Homeowners Association, a Trustee at San Francisco Ballet where he chairs the Facilities Committee, and is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter in the duo Open Road, which has toured Italy, Ireland, Scotland, and the US, and is currently working on its 3rd album.
