Bernie Meyers is a 48-year Novato resident. He is a former Federal Antitrust prosecutor and served as a Novato Planning Commissioner in 1989 - 1990 and as a Novato Council member and Mayor between 1991 and 1995 and again from 2001 to 2005. During his terms he assisted in the conversion of Hamilton from an Air Force Base to what it is today, worked on Novato's first mobile home rent control ordinance, the hillside ordinance, helped saved Bahia and Scottsdale Marsh, and was the author of Novato's first campaign-finance reform ordinance. He served on the Board on the North Coast Railroad Authority from 2007 - 2013.
