Bob Silvestri
Mill Valley, California
Bob has dedicated more than 2 decades of his life to community service and charitable and philanthropic ventures. He is the founder and president of Community Venture Partners, Inc., the parent company of the Marin Post, and has been involved in architecture, planning, and real estate development, finance, and media most of his professional life. Bob is currently the Editor in Chief of the Marin Post and has published Op-Ed pieces and commentary in local newspapers and online journals about sustainable planning, development, and affordable housing. His writings include two books, "Marin 2016: Dispatches from the front" and "The Best Laid Plans: Our Planning and Affordable Housing Challenges in Marin."
Prior to founding Community Venture Partners, in 2003, Bob founded and managed Environmental Media Fund, Inc., a 501(c)(3), California nonprofit corporation that worked as a catalyst organization to create, develop, produce, finance, and distribute documentary films and television programming about social justice, human health, and the environment. Projects included PBS television specials and award winning films and educational initiatives about the environment and sustainable living.
Mr. Silvestri is a licensed architect and holds a Bachelors of Architecture from the Cooper Union School of Architecture in New York City. (For real estate related CV, click here.)
