I just received this from Robert Fellner of Transparent California. I think you’ll find it interesting.
Employee compensation at the County of Marin was up 6.4 percent, hitting an all-time high of nearly $294 million last year, according to just posted 2017 pay data on TransparentCalifornia.com.
The average full-year county employee — excluding fire and sheriff department employees — earned a base wage of $89,060, according to the data.
That number rises to $93,418 when overtime and other pay are included, and $126,312 when adding the cost of employer-paid health and retirement benefits.
